Would a scrapbook be too feminine asa part of my Boyfriend's valentine's day gift? Guys answer too please?
For valentine's day I thought that I would make m boyfriend a scrapbook of him and I as part of his gift. We have been together for over a year and I was just going to make one of just us and everything we have done together. Would this be too girly? I was not oging to use pink colors, was goign to do different colors of paper and put this is a red book with our pictures. Any other ideas for page themes and layouts? help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Hi, I think this is a great idea, and as others have said, he will love it, because it's from you. There's lots of masculine kits and papers out there, and you can even use ribbons and flowers in masculine layouts without making it look "girly". ...And girly is okay--mix it in!

The "Happy Camper" is one of my favorites, and it features a flower as an elements.
Another is "Oh Brother" which uses a couple of different techniques. First is one of my favorites--paper tearing. Any paper will work for this, but white core works best due to the contrast on the edge. Wrinkle the paper--crumple it up and then unfold it. Use some chalk or chalk-ink to highlight the crumples. The mesh is actually from the sculpting section of the craft store--it's light weight and aluminum, so it won't hurt your layout (add some brads and you'll have a great accent).
I use kits to get the biggest bang for my dollar, adding patterned paper that I have on hand to jazz it up. Here's a link to check out some great kits:

I love to use lots of different techniques, and I even made my hubbie an album to document the construction of his dream shop. Use hearts and stuff--have fun with it!
